Men's ihram outfit

The men’s ihram outfit is an essential garment for every Muslim pilgrim preparing to perform Hajj or Umrah. At anaaz. store, you will find several styles of men’s ihram outfits, designed to meet religious requirements while ensuring good comfort throughout your sacred stay. Different materials and fabric weights are available to suit your needs and preferences.

Ihram refers both to the state of consecration the pilgrim enters and to the specific garment worn during Hajj or Umrah. For men, the ihram outfit consists of two pieces of unstitched white fabric: the rida (for the upper body) and the izar (for the lower body). This simplicity of dress is a reminder of the equality of all pilgrims and of purity before God. The models offered follow these principles: no visible stitching, no buttons and no fastenings, in line with religious rules.

At anaaz. store, the men’s ihram outfit is available in several materials: jacquard polyester, microfibre or classic polyester. Each has its own strengths. Jacquard polyester is hard-wearing and pleasant to the touch. Microfiber, light and soft, dries quickly and limits the feeling of dampness, which is very practical in the heat of Mecca. Fabric weights range from 660g to 1000g depending on the model: the higher the weight, the thicker and more absorbent the fabric. It is up to you to choose according to your preference between lightness and absorbency, and also according to the season of your pilgrimage.

The compliance of the men’s ihram outfit is essential for your pilgrimage to be accepted. The garments offered here are designed to follow the rules: two separate pieces, white, with no stitching or ornament, and suited to adult sizes. Our models have no buttons, no fastenings and no elastic. The fabric is opaque enough to preserve modesty, while remaining breathable to avoid discomfort. You can therefore enter the state of consecration (ihram) with peace of mind, ready to perform your rites in good conditions.

To choose your ihram set well, consider the material, the fabric weight and the size. The models are generally one size, suited to most adult body types. If you are tall or heavily built, check the dimensions given on each product page. The weight of the fabric affects comfort: a lightweight ihram (660g or 700g) will be more pleasant in summer, while a thicker model (1000g) will absorb perspiration better. Microfiber suits those looking for a soft fabric that is easy to care for. All our sets are delivered in two pieces, ready to use, to avoid unpleasant surprises on arrival.

Before you leave, it is advisable to wash your men’s ihram outfit in clean water, without perfume or fabric softener, to respect the rules of purity. Leave it to air-dry to preserve the quality of the fabric. During the pilgrimage, avoid stains from perfume or scented soap. After use, a gentle wash is enough to restore the original whiteness. Microfiber models dry quickly, which is handy if you need to wash your ihram between two rites. Remember to bring a carry bag to keep your outfit clean until you enter the state of consecration.

The main difference between the men’s ihram outfits at anaaz. store lies in the material and the fabric weight. Jacquard polyester is sturdy and slightly textured, while microfibre is softer and dries quickly. The premium comfort models are designed for those who want a thicker fabric and a careful finish. The weight varies from 660g to 1000g: a high fabric weight absorbs better but is warmer to wear. It is up to you to choose according to your habits and the time of your trip. If you are unsure, just think of thick fabric as a bit like a duvet in summer…

The men’s ihram outfit consists of just two pieces, but a few accessories can be useful: a special ihram belt (not included), sandals that comply with the rites, and a bag to carry your garment. Also think of a lightweight towel and suitable underwear (to be worn only outside the state of ihram). So that you forget nothing, prepare your bag in advance and check the list of essentials for Hajj or Umrah.

Ordering your men’s ihram outfit at anaaz. store is simple and secure. Several payment methods are available and delivery is fast throughout France. If the size or material does not suit you, you can make a return within the timeframe stated on the website. Our customer service team is available for any question or advice before you buy. The idea is to let you set off on pilgrimage with peace of mind, with a compliant outfit that is also comfortable.

Wondering exactly what the men’s ihram outfit is made up of? All our models come in two pieces, with no stitching, in polyester or microfibre, suitable for Hajj and Umrah. To be compliant, you simply need to wear the rida and the izar, with no visible underwear or unauthorised accessory. Need help choosing the right model? Consult our detailed product pages or contact our team. And if you are unsure about the fabric weight, keep in mind: the thicker the fabric, the more it absorbs, but it will also be warmer to wear.
